集裝箱租賃是指集裝箱租賃公司與承租人，一般為海運(yùn)班輪公司，鐵路、公路運(yùn)輸公司等，簽訂協(xié)議，用長期或短期的方式把集裝箱租賃給承租人的一種租賃方式。在協(xié)議執(zhí)行期間，箱體由承租人管理使用，承租人負(fù)責(zé)對箱體進(jìn)行維修保養(yǎng)，確保避免滅失。堆場對損壞的箱體按協(xié)議中規(guī)定的技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)修復(fù)，修理費(fèi)用由承租人承擔(dān)。承租人按照協(xié)議向租箱公司承付提還箱費(fèi)及租金。
